Radiator Repair and Service

Most of you have probably heard the term “radiator”, but what does it mean to your vehicle? Well, it is actually a very important component as its purpose is to prevent the engine from overheating. The engine produces an extreme amount of friction and heat when it’s running, and the only way to keep it at a healthy temperature is with a properly functioning radiator. We don’t want you to be that guy on the side of the road with steam coming out from under the hood- so, come into Garber Automall in Green Cove Springs for a radiator inspection or repair.

Experience the Garber Automall Difference

Everything is different about dealership service centers in comparison to stand-alone repair shops; specifically, the service center of Garber Automall in Green Cove Springs. One-stop repair shops may seem like the quicker option, but wouldn’t you rather pick the more efficient option? At Garber Automall, we dedicate ourselves to resolving your vehicle’s issues to your complete satisfaction the first time around.

Our mission is to provide you with the best customer experience so you feel confident returning to us again in the future. That’s why we employ professional, friendly ASE-Certified Technicians to guarantee high-quality work for every vehicle make and model that comes through our doors.

Keep your cool and bring your radiator problems to our service center at Garber Automall. We will keep you and your vehicle from overheating, and before we send you on your way we provide a 21-point free check of other major car parts.

Radiator FAQ’s—

Coolant is passed through the engine block where heat being transferred from the engine is absorbed. The heated coolant is transferred to the core of the radiator where the liquid is circled through the radiator’s tubes. Eventually, the coolant will arrive at a secondary tank where it cools. Once the coolant has lowered in temperature, it is transferred back to the engine where the cycle repeats itself.

If your vehicle is frequently overheating under normal driving conditions, it is a good sign that your radiator is in need of replacement. Your car’s manufacturer may provide recommendations in the owner’s manual regarding when the radiator should be inspected and serviced.

Absolutely! The radiator is an important part of your vehicle for it to operate at full potential and Garber Automall is committed to making this happen. Please contact a Garber Automall technician with any questions you may have regarding your radiator, or to set up a service appointment.

Garber Automall takes pride in repairing all vehicle makes, models, and ages. Whether you purchased your car from us or another dealership, we are happy to help with your vehicle needs. If you have any questions or concerns about the service center at Garber Automall, feel free to call us at (904) 688-3183.

Everything you need to know about radiators—

Just as sweating helps to keep you cool, the radiator works the same way for the engine. The inner-workings of the car work hard to get you where you need to go and as a result, things can get pretty hot under the hood. The friction, movement, and interaction of your engine’s parts create heat, and in order to maintain a temperature that is not too extreme the engine has built-in devices to keep it cool. The radiator is one of these cooling devices.

To keep the temperature under the hood at a reasonable level, coolant is sent to the engine block to absorb excess heat. After a thermostat adjusts based on the temperature of the fluids, the coolant is transferred to the radiator to remove engine heat. Fans within the radiator use airflow to keep the engine cooled down. Following this process, coolant re-cycles through the engine to repeat the cooling cycle over and over again.

Without engine cooling devices, specifically the radiator, it would be impossible for the engine of your car to stay at a safe temperature for driving. That being said, servicing your radiator is the best way to make certain it is safely keeping your engine cool and not collecting a build-up of contaminants. Help your ride stay cool- contact Garber Automall today!
