Next year, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon will be getting a complete facelift and redesign, but in the meantime, Jeep continues to make the 2017 Wrangler Rubicon an enticing option thanks to the Recon Package. Just announced at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this week, the Recon package gives the tenacious mountain goat of an SUV is tougher and more striking attitude until we move on to the next generation.
The Jeep Wrangler is the kind of SUV that can scale a mountain with ease or take you to your business meeting across town. It’s versatile and capable in the way that most other SUVs envy. And the Recon package only increases this feeling.
2017 Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon Recon
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon will be equipped with a part-time 4-wheel-drive system and electronic-locking front and rear axles to make climbing rocks a breeze. The standard 6-speed manual or available 5-speed automatic transmission keeps you in control and on gear at all times no matter the situation. And the 17-inch low-gloss granite aluminum wheels come with a half-inch lift straight off the production line so to give you that extra oomph when you need it.
But just because it’s rugged, doesn’t mean you can’t have a little comfort inside. The cabin includes heated black leather seats with “Rubicon” logos stitched into them and a leather steering wheel also with red stitching. In fact, the red accents are found all over the inside and out of the vehicle to give this SUV an aggressive and striking look. A premium soft top comes standard, but you can also get a hardcover that matches the color of the body at your discretion.
