The New 2018 Buick Regal Sportback and TourX

No matter how you look at it, the all-new 2018 Buick Regal won’t be just another sedan anymore. The new body styles for this flagship vehicle take it out of that segment and put it closer to the hatchbacks and wagons, providing more cargo capacity, roomier rear seats, and a more exciting experience. Take a look at these new versions of the Buick Regal and find your reason to come in for a test drive today.

Buick calls the Regal TourX a crossover and with the added 3.4 inches of length and extra 1 inch of height, it definitely feels bigger inside and out. Behind the back seats the TourX has a roomy 32.7 cubic feet of space for hauling goodies around, and if you need more, you can fold down the 40/60 split rear seats for capacious 73.5 cubic feet of cargo space. It looks and drives more like a compact crossover than a sedan while still giving you the efficiency and agility of its car chassis.

Buick Regal Sportback

The 2018 Buick Regal Sportback is a cross between a wagon and a sedan that takes the best of both body styles to produce a sport-car-like hatchback. It boasts 31.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind rear seats that have options to fold into two or three segments to make the room more flexible. When the rear seats are folded flat, there’s 60.7 cubic feet behind the first row to haul around whatever life throws at you.

Both cars are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that earns 250 horsepower, but they differ on the available transmissions. The Sportback is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with two-wheel-drive that puts out a healthy 260 lb-ft of torque. The TourX has an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with an all-wheel-drive system that features an active twin clutch rear differential for better control in all conditions and produces a respectable 295 lb-ft of torque. Star-stop technology comes standard.

The Sportback and TourX offer your favorite Buick interior details like QuietTuning Technology, OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 7.0-inch infotainment screen, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver-centric cockpit provides you excellent visibility, easy access to all utility features, and clear warnings from the active safety features like Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Park Assist.
