Here’s What to Expect on the 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD

Get the biggest, beastliest truck in the GMC lineup with the 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD. From the refined and spacious interior, you can make use of the stellar towing and hauling ratings to tackle any job in comfort. Whether you choose the standard or diesel engine, you’ll have ample power on demand and can easily customize your truck from the available packages. Don’t just get a truck that runs, get a truck that can handle the toughest jobs without breaking a sweat.

High-strength steel makes up two-thirds of the 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HDs’ frame, giving you a firm structure to work with. Match all that strength with a single- or dual-rear-wheel configuration to manage your work. While it’s only offered in crew-cab models, you’ll have your choice between a 6-foot-6-inch or 8-foot box to fit your needs.

With either box choice, you’ll enjoy GMC’s optional carbon-fiber bed called the CarbonPro. Instead of steel inner panels, you’ll get carbon-fiber composite that’s more resistant to dents, scratches, and rust so you can spend more time focused on the job and not the truck.

To move all that metal, you’ll have a choice between a 6.0-liter V-8 engine and an optional Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel under the hood. The standard V-8 produces a respectable 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, and the Duramax diesel cranks out a hefty 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. With either option, you can add an available gooseneck/fifth-wheel trailering package for added capacity.

Get an interior that makes your drive more comfortable and convenient. Stay on track with the available navigation on the 8-inch color touchscreen infotainment system that comes standard on the Denali trim and is available on the SLE and SLT trims. The Denali also boasts heated and ventilated leather front seats that come with a matching heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel for your comfort in all seasons.

The available Snow Plow Prep Package protects your truck with added skid plates under the vehicle and heavy-duty front springs that manage the plow. It also comes with plenty of power for lighting your way in poor weather.

The Sierra All Terrain HD off-road package is available on SLT four-wheel-drive models and delivers sleek styling and heavy-duty accessories. Look good with the body-color grille, door handles and door moldings, black mirror caps, and black assist steps. And drive with confidence thanks to the 18-inch chrome aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires and off-road suspension with Rancho twin-tube shocks.

When you’re on the job and not off-roading, the dealer-available Trailering Camera system can help you manage what’s behind you a little easier. With three cameras — one on each side-view mirror and one on the trailer — you’ll get multiple vantage points shown on the touchscreen and blind-spot assistance to help you make smart moves. The system also includes six touchscreen menu choices available through the infotainment system so you can keep vital data within your view.
