The 2019 Ford Flex comes in a trio of trim options: SE, SEL, and Limited. All three models come well-equipped as even the base SE trim comes with seven-passenger seating, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, four 12-volt power sources, a rearview camera, a six-way power driver’s seat, a six-speaker audio system, Ford SYNC with a 4.2-inch screen, SiriusXM, projector headlights, and more. Boasting two 3.5-liter V-6 engine options — a turbo version and a non-turbo — the 2019 Flex has plenty of towing power. The base 3.5-liter V-6 injects a healthy 287 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque. The optional 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6 ups the ante to 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Both engines pair with a six-speed automatic transmission. The base V-6 engine has standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive, while the turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 model has only standard all-wheel drive.
All that power amounts to a 4,500-pound towing capacity with the optional Class III Trailer Tow Package with trailer sway control. This package is a $570 option on all SEL and higher trims.
