Ford is delivering the most advanced suite of standard driver-assist safety tech with the new Co-Pilot360, and it’s coming to the 2019 Fusion. But that’s not all that’s new for the 2019 Ford Fusion, it also boasts more in-cabin technology to help you streamline your commute and stay connected on the go.

“People tell us they are stressed with crowded roads and more distracted drivers and pedestrians. Our Ford Co-Pilot360 with standard automatic emergency braking and other technologies can help them drive more confidently so they can enjoy the journey,” said Corey Holter, Ford car group marketing manager.

The Ford Co-Pilot360 comes standard with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot information with cross-traffic alerts, automatic high beams, and a rearview camera. The automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection is Ford’s answer to research showing a growing trend of people worrying about hitting pedestrians. Ford hopes to offer standard Co-Pilot360 on 91 percent of Ford vehicles in North America by 2020.

In addition to the Co-Pilot360’s standard features, you can also opt for more safety and driver-assist tech for added confidence behind the wheel. The most notable of the additional features is the adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go action that brings the vehicle to a complete stop with traffic and maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. With this feature, traffic jams are nothing to worry about.

Keep your focus on the road thanks to the available voice-activated navigation system. The new navigation works together with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link to help you find the best route based on up-to-the-minute traffic information. The 8-inch color touchscreen also offers pinch-to-zoom capability so you can quickly and easily check out the route.

The Ford Fusion has five trim levels: S, SE, SEL, Titanium, and V6 Sport. When you upgrade to the SE and higher models, you get standard built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices as well as compatibility with the Ford+Alexa app. With this new app, you can access all the same features you expect on your at home Alexa tower, like adding items to your grocery list and playing your favorite stations.
