2019 Ford Edge Gets More Trims

By Justin Cupler | July 16th, 2018

With the 2019 Ford Edge’s arrival, you’ll have two new trim models to choose from. The Edge ST will be the first Ford Performance-tuned SUV and will feature a turbocharged V-6 engine that will offer best-in-class horsepower. The Edge Titanium Elite will provide you with a high-class, luxurious option with appearance upgrades and additional interior comforts. The standard 2019 Edge will still be as enticing as ever, but these additional options allow you to treat yourself to the Ford crossover that fits you best.

Earn More Performance in a 2019 Edge ST

“Edge ST puts a new animal on the road – a performance SUV with a track mentality,” said Hau Thai-Tang, executive vice president of Product Development and Purchasing. “From a performance standpoint, and with its SUV silhouette and versatility, it sets a new standard Edge fans will love to drive.”

Get behind the wheel of the Ford Edge ST to enjoy a specially tuned 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine that pumps out 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. It’s outfitted with a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, standard all-wheel drive with selectable traction control, an available performance brake package, and ST-tuned sport suspension.

From the traction control, you can select Sport Mode to experience more aggressive throttle response and shifting patterns that hold gears near redline through cornering maneuvers, sharper engine braking, and a deeper exhaust tone. Drivers can also manually shift using the steering wheel-mounted SelectShift paddle shifters while firmly positioned in unique Edge ST seating with additional bolstering.

Live Large in a 2019 Edge Titanium Elite

“Edge drivers expect a sophisticated, modern driving experience,” said Cristina Aquino, Edge marketing manager. “Bringing a host of new technologies as standard and introducing these segment-first features helps ensure customers feel more confident behind the wheel.”

The Edge lineup will also feature a Titanium Elite model with appearance enhancements that include body-color front bumper, front lower fascia, side cladding and rear bumper, a more premium rear skid plate, and 20-inch bright-machined aluminum wheels with premium dark-painted pockets.

Every new Edge – including the all-new Edge ST – is Ford’s smartest SUV ever and features more driver-assist technology than any other midsize SUV thanks to the Ford Co-Pilot360. This suite of safety technology features forward collision warning, dynamic brake support, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, lane-departure alert, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, and hill-start assist. The standard safety features include AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, and curve control, and 911 assist.

While the 2019 Ford Edge won’t be available until later this year, you can test drive a 2018 Ford Edge today at Garber Automall. Talk to a team member about securing your new models today.
