The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 boasts a mean-sounding 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V-8 that produces 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. This engine pairs with a standard TREMEC six-speed manual transmission. This adds up to a 4.2-second 0-to-60 time for the base model and a 3.9-second sprint time for the lighter GT350R and its stickier rubber.

Handling is also key in this segment, and an independent test found the GT350R and Camaro ZL1 held the same G-forces on the skid pad at 1.08. A separate test showed the base GT350 came up a little lighter at 1.02 Gs.
