GMC Named Most Refined by KBB

By Emily Eppley | July 27th, 2017

For the fourth year in a row, GMC was named Most Refined in Kelley Blue Book’s 2017 Brand Image Awards. With such elegant 2017 models like the new and improved Acadia, the ever-polished Yukon Denali, and the powerful, yet posh Sierra 1500, GMC continues to push the boundaries of comfort and sophistication. When you upgrade to any Denali trim level vehicle, you’re sure to enjoy a driving experience that was made to impress, inside and out.

“GMC’s ‘Professional Grade’ ideology has struck a resonant chord with consumers, and that’s reflected in car buyers visiting Kelley Blue Book’s website, KBB.com, naming GMC 2017’s Most Refined Brand,” says Jack Nerad, executive editorial director for Kelley Blue Book. “The extra attention to design and detail found across GMC’s lineup has clearly resonated with American consumers.”

The Brand Image Award winners are picked based on data taken from the Kelley Blue Book Strategic Insights’ Brand Watch™ study. The Brand Watch team analyzes user behavior, gathers information from surveys, and watches more than 12 thousand in-market new-vehicle shoppers annually on KKB.com. The study provides insight into shopper behavior to help us identify what’s important to our customers and helps us create brand loyalty by offering what they want most.

KBB recognizes that GMC’s commitment to refinement is showcased with the Denali trim levels by offering top-of-the-line materials in the cabins, added stylings on the exterior, and extra convenience features with the cunning use of technology. This award acknowledges that our customers love the professional grade capability and premium truck and SUV feel.

“Receiving the Most Refined Brand award for a fourth consecutive year reflects GMC’s commitment to our core brand pillars,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC. “Consumers appreciate GMC’s ability to deliver bold, capable and precisely crafted vehicles that fit their lifestyle.”

This year marked the sale of the 1 millionth Denali vehicle since introducing the sub-brand on the 1999 Yukon model. Denali accounted for 25 percent of GMC retail sales in 2016, outselling the entire product lines of several premium automakers such as Land Rover, Jaguar, and Porsche.
