If you’ve watched NHRA drag racing, you’ve likely noticed that these wild dragsters are loosely styled after productions cars. The Charger SRT Hellcat already has an NHRA funny car, but in 2019, this funny car will get a redesign that’ll pull it more in line with the official model.
There aren’t big changes in store for the 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat NHRA funny car, but it will see a few updates that will make it more similar to the production model. These updates include more pronounced scallops on the doors, deeper bodylines, and a revised nose with a new carbon-fiber and Kevlar front splitter. Also mimicking the production car are new decals up front that simulate the production grille, badging, air extractors, and hood scoop.
Under its hood. This dragster will really separate itself from the production car. The Charger SRT Hellcat is insanely powerful at 707 horsepower, but this funny car crushes it with over 10,000 horsepower.
The 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat funny car will debut at the Dodge Mile-High NHRA Nationals Powered by Mopar at Bandimere Speedway near Denver, July 20-22.
