For the third year in a row, Buick has earned 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for Safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on all seven vehicles in its lineup in their premium trim levels. This is exceptional because not only is the Cascada the only convertible to earn this score but also achieved it in its first year of sale. Buick is one of only two brands in the industry to achieve a five-star Overall Vehicle Score for safety ratings on every model.
“We know safety is top of mind for buyers when shopping for new vehicles, and the recent ratings by NHTSA showcase our brand’s dedication to providing our customers with safe, reliable transportation,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick Sales, Service, and Marketing. “We’ve launched four new vehicles in 2016 and we are extremely proud to continue to offer a lineup of award-winning vehicles that have NHTSA five-star Overall Vehicle Score ratings across the board.”
Buick’s cutting-edge safety features are implemented across the entire lineup and have played a major part in earning these ratings. The patented Safety Alert Seat, which provides alerts to the driver using haptic seat vibrations, is unique to Buick. Also unique is the 2017 Buick Enclave which offers the only front-center air bag in its class, providing advanced protection to both front passengers in side collisions. New to the revamped 2017 LaCrosse is Buick’s first Front Pedestrian Braking system which assists drivers to slow down the vehicle and avoid unwanted situations.
