Both vehicles come with an 8-inch touchscreen and support smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

These midsize crossovers offer a number of other tech features, such as a trial subscription to SiriusXM® Satellite Radio and an available Bose® premium sound system. Chevy and Nissan also each offer a 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot (data plan required) that supports multiple devices, so you and your passengers never miss a thing.

However, despite their similarities, there are several things you will only find on the new 2022 Chevrolet Blazer. This SUV is available with a wireless charging pad that ensures your compatible smartphone stays charged, as well as a 120-volt power outlet to give larger devices some quick juice. It also features an available rear camera mirror in place of a traditional rearview mirror that displays a larger, unobstructed view of the area behind you. Last but not least, the new Blazer can be paired with an available safety alert seat that provides haptic feedback in the direction of potential crashes, so you can respond quickly.

Performance

Take a peek under the new 2022 Chevrolet Blazer’s hood and you’ll find one of two thrilling engines. The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged engine kicks out a zippy 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and helps the Blazer achieve 27 mpg highway. The Blazer’s available 3.6-liter V-6 engine brings the thrills with 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

The new Chevy Blazer is available with all-wheel drive and features a Drive Mode Selector that allows you to adjust vehicle handling as necessary. Choose from up to five drive modes: tour for improved fuel efficiency, all-wheel drive for enhanced traction, tow/haul for extra force while towing, off-road for optimized throttle on rough terrain, and sport for added excitement. With the proper equipment, the new Chevy Blazer also has a 4,500-pound towing capacity.

On the Nissan side of things, you’ll find only one engine under the new Murano’s hood. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine doesn’t offer nearly the same power as the Blazer’s V-6, delivering only 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. Like the Blazer, the new Murano is available with all-wheel drive but it lacks the driver modes that the Chevy has. The new Nissan Murano also only has a 1,500-pound towing capacity, 3,000 pounds less than the Blazer.

Advantage of the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer

  • Two engine options to choose from
  • Offers five drive modes, including all-wheel drive
  • Greater available towing capacity

Which Should You Buy?

We think the answer is simple. The new 2022 Chevrolet Blazer has all the sporty style you want to stand out in a crowd and offers loads of features you won’t find in the 2022 Nissan Murano. Chevy’s midsize crossover features two engines to choose from, a drive mode selector, and more legroom than its Nissan counterpart. The new Blazer also provides the contemporary tech you want, like a wireless smartphone charger and rear camera mirror for an unobstructed view. And let’s not forget, the Chevy Blazer offers 14 different wheel styles to choose from, versus the Nissan Murano’s four choices.
