The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat already has its own Widebody Package, and in 2020, the Charger SRT Hellcat and Scat Pack gain their own performance-enhancing Widebody Packages.
The Widebody Package will include new front and rear fascias, and fender flares that add 3.5 inches of width to the Charger’s body. This added space gives it the room it needs to stuff an 11-inch-wide set of 20-inch wheels wrapped in 305/35ZR20 Pirelli rubber inside.
Behind these wheels will be Brembo six-piston front brake calipers squeezing 15.4-inch two-piece rotors and Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping shocks. The Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody will also gain 32% stiffer front springs, 2 mm thicker front sway bar, and a 3 mm thicker rear sway bar. The Scat Pack’s Widebody Package will include 27% stiffer front springs, a 3 mm thicker rear sway arm launch control, launch assist, and line lock.
This combined with its 707-horsepower supercharged V-8 add up to a 3.6-second 0-to-60 time and 0.96 G skidpad rating in the SRT Hellcat model, which leads to a 2.1-second-faster lap time than the base SRT Hellcat on the same 2.1-mile road course.
The 2020 Charger Scat Pack Widebody uses its 485-horsepower V-8 to sprint it to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and the upgraded handling bits to pull 0.98 Gs on the skidpad. This makes it 1.3 seconds faster around the same road course in the standard Scat Pack.
The 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat will come standard with the Widebody Package. The Charger Scat Pack will have this performance-enhancing package as an option.
