Hansel and Gretel Have Nothing on the 2020 Ranger’s Breadcrumbs Tech

Sudden off-road excursions will be a part of life as the proud owner of the 2020 Ford Ranger. This is especially true for those who opt for the FX4 package, which adds an electronic-locking rear differential, the Terrain Management System with Trail Control, or its off-road-ready accessories like higher ride height, an off-road-friendly front bumper, and a winch-ready bumper.

One downside to sudden off-road ventures is getting lost in the trails and relying on landmarks to get you back to civilization. To prevent going all “Castaway” on us, Ford no offers a breadcrumbs feature on all navigation-equipped 2020 Ranger models.

Before heading off the pavement, just activate the breadcrumbs app, and the navigation system will automatically drop a pin on your path every second. When you’re ready to head back, simply follow the pins back to solid ground.

Hansel and Gretel would be so jealous.

The 2020 Ford Ranger isn’t the only Built Tough pickups getting this breadcrumbs feature. Ford will also add it to all other pickups with SYNC 3 and navigation included. On Ranger models, navigation is available on XLT and Lariat trim levels.

Whether you’re avoiding a carnivorous witch in Orange Park, hitting the trails of Fleming Island, or just cruising through Jacksonville, the Ford breadcrumbs feature will ensure you always find your way back home. Head down to Garber Automall serving Orange Park, Jacksonville, Fleming Island, and the surrounding area today to check out this system for yourself.

Can’t make it in today? You can also check out our online inventory page, choose a few in-stock Ford pickups equipped with navigation that fit your needs, and schedule a test drive around your busy day.
