The GMC Sierra HD is set for a full redesign in 2020, but it hasn’t arrived yet. The current GMC Sierra HD arrived in 2014 with new projector headlights, a bold grille, new bumpers, and more pronounced wheel flares, and more. The Nissan Titan XD debuted in 2016 as an all-new mid-duty pickup truck. It boasts a rugged look with its large, blocky grille, chunky headlights, and large fender vents, but the rest of the Titan XD is relatively simple in design with only a few body lines and creases. Like the Sierra HD, the Titan XD has a premium look with dark-chrome accents and 20-inch dark-chrome wheels in its range-topping Platinum Reserve trim.

Interior
Inside, the GMC Sierra HD’s cabin is relatively simple, but even with its simplicity, there are plenty of advanced standard features. Heavy-duty pickups need all the power they can get, and the 2019 GMC Sierra HD and 2019 Nissan Titan XD have that in gobs. The Titan comes standard with a 5.6-liter V-8 with 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. There is also an optional 5.0-liter Cummins turbo-diesel V-8 with 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque.
The 2019 GMC Sierra HD has less base power with its 6.0-liter V-8 pumping out 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Where the Sierra HD wins is with its optional 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 that cranks out a whopping 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque.
Towing and payload is a huge deal in this class, and the Titan XD is respectable with up to 11,680-pound towing capacity and a 2,690-pound payload capacity with its gasoline engine.
