Chevy Silverado 2500HD Vs. Ford F-250 Super Duty

Big pickups allow our Green Cove Springs area neighbors to get their to-do lists done in short order and in style. Two of the best performers in this class, the 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty offer all this and plenty of upscale features. Which of these full-size pickups is best for our Orange Park buyers? Find out below.

Exterior

On the outside, the 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty boast traditional pickup truck styling, but they have their own elements that set them apart. The Chevy Silverado 2500HD boasts a massive grille with a centerpiece that splits the headlights into two units, giving it a squinty look. The F-250 Super Duty, on the other hand, has single-piece headlight assemblies with C-channel-like designs that appear to clamp down on the grille.

Both models have a wide range of trims that play huge roles in their exterior styling. The Silverado 2500HD starts with the WT trim to the F-250’s XL trim. Both feature the basics like black grilles, chrome bumpers, single cabs, and steel wheels. At their top ends, both pickups also have high-end premium models with 20-inch wheels, more body-color elements, and more, including the Silverado’s High Country trim and the F-250’s Limited trim.

Interior

The interiors of the 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and Ford F-250 Super Duty mimic their exteriors with traditional truck-like looks and utility. Large, chunky knob and buttons, and upright dashboards are common threads between these rival pickups.

Both models also hit high levels of luxury in their upper trims, as the Silverado 2500HD High Country boasts leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, a six-speaker audio system, and more. But the 2019 F-250 Super Duty has a few more trim levels, including the Limited model, which has premium leather and a few other goodies the High Country doesn’t.

In terms of standard features in their respective volume-selling trims, the Silverado 2500HD LT trim and the F-250 XLT, they have similar features, including power windows and door locks, cloth seating, and USB ports, but the Silverado gets one up on the F-250 with its 7-inch touchscreen and six-speaker audio system compared to the F-250’s 4.2-inch display-only screen and four-speaker audio system.
